Welcome back to another year of baseball! We’re excited to announce some big changes for this year!
Players/Coaches – we are looking forward to building a relationship with Triple A Sport Consultants to help develop our Little League coaches (and in turn our players). This will lay the foundation for a program of development so that all players have the chance to develop their baseball skills for years to come. Whether your player is just coming to have some fun or they find competitive ball fun…we want to provide opportunities to build Little League players!
We are holding FREE clinics at the Panorama Rec Centre indoor tennis courts in January, February and March. These clinics will allow players to get their baseball groove back (without getting their feet wet). Click here to see the dates/times.
New uniforms – we are ordering new uniforms for blastball thru Minors this season.
Registration will be in-person only this year as we hope to get to know each and every one of you. Registration times are at the FREE clinics plus at the clubhouse from 1-4pm on January 24, 25, 31 plus February 1, 7 and 8.
Player assessments are set for the weekend of February 28th and March 1st. More details to follow.
Longer season – you asked and we listened. We expect to build our teams prior to spring break (Mar 7-22). We hope to allow teams to do some fun team building and/or practices before our season starts April 7th. Opening ceremonies is set to be on April 11th, 2015.
Facilities – our facilities are getting a facelift. The batting cage is being refurbished. We expect to have practice pitching mounds at diamond 5. We are upgrading some of the concession interior. Our roof is being reshingled. These will compliment the amazing upgrades to Centennial Park we have had over the past few years. Come join us. We’re proud to have such an community park.
The CSLL AGM will be held on Monday October 20th, 2014 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm at the Field House in Centennial Park (beside new playground).
We will discuss the direction CSLL will take for the following year(s) as well as recap our past years season. There are many positions that need to be filled. This would be a great time to step up and volunteer. Winter months are for planning and learning as there is usually only a small amount of work to do before March. Meetings are a small commitment of one night every two months in the winter.
Two free registrations will be given away as door prizes just for attending. Food and beverages will be provided.
We hope to see you there! It’s a small amount of time to make a big impact on your little league!
Did you know that local businesses help to provide a big boost to operate CSLL?
It’s true. It is a huge commitment to our community and we appreciate it very much. That sponsorship helps keep registration costs lower than any other minor league park in Victoria.

On Saturday, June 21st, 10:00am (At National), National invites all 11 and 12 year olds who would like to participate in the 11/12 tournament, which runs from July 5th to 13th.
This invite is for any player who didn’t make their own parks tournament team and would like to play with National.
If your child is selected, he/she will be on Nationals tournament team, which allows them to play in all tournament games
Because the other 5 parks had enough players to field their own tournament team and National was short on available players (we have 8 players), this opportunity allows more players to be apart of the tournament this year, which helps improve the skills of these players for their future baseball seasons. (We are looking to fill 4 positions)
The tournament will then have six team, as opposed to the typical five in years past (two parks usually merge to create one team)
Players need to show up between 10:00am and 11:30, to be eligible to be selected. The event will stop at noon. Players can stay for the full two hours, or leave after they have completed their tasks.
If the above time on Saturday is not possible for your child, please contact Aaron Smart at aaron@vicglass.com (NLL player Agent and Manager/Coach of the 11/12 District Team) to arrange another possible time to connect.
Thanks, Alaine (President of National Little League)
