Registratrar will be needed for NEXT year – if you can help full this position – it would be great to JOB SHADOW this year with Lori so that you can ease into the position next year.

The newest division of play for regular season and the International Tournament is the Little League Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division, featuring a pitching distance of 50 feet, and base paths of 70 feet. The new division provides a smoother transition from the smaller field to a standard baseball diamond, along with a venue for players ages 11-13 with more advanced skills. The Intermediate League will culminate each year of play with the Intermediate League Baseball World Series. If you are between the ages of 11 and 13 (born after April 30th, 1999) and interested in playing at a higher level of baseball please contact Dave Podmoroff as soon as possible.

I thought I would update everyone on the amazing tournament we are hosting. Thank-you to all our volunteers who worked so hard to get our park ready – it looks great! Thanks to everyone who has been out to watch the games and a special thank you to our many concession volunteers.
Congratulations to Beacon Hill who defeated Layritz in the final game 12-5 to win the District 7 Championship 2012. They will move on to the Provincials held in Trail BC.
CSLL
July 9/12 – The Central Saanich “Comeback Kids” played tonight coming back from a 4-1 deficit – scoring 4 runs in the 5th inning. Lake/Hill National tied the game in the bottom of the 5th inning, score now 5-5. Central Saanich pulls ahead with a run in the sixth inning. Final score 6-5 for Central Saanich – Runs score by Spencer Robbins (2) Dawson Evans (2) Will Podmoroff (1) and Derek Bonder (1).
Other results Beacon Hill over Hampton with a score of 9-6.
July 8th – Well a great start to our tournament with an exciting first game going into extra innings! Hampton beat Lake Hill/National 5-3 in the eighth inning. The second game resulting in a Grand Slam by #24 Luke Seginowich from Layritz to bring the Final score 8-5 over Beacon Hill.

CSLL
Central Saanich Little League has been selected to host the 11/12 Tournament this year July 8th thru July 15th, 2012 – hooray for our park! This is such a great opportunity for us to show off our terrific park and club as well as raise some extra money thru concession sales. It is going to take many hands to make it happen. If you can spare even an hour to come out and rake fields, do a 50/50 shift or help in the concession (all funds raised in concession go towards our league which helps pay for uniforms, equipment, and keep the cost of our registration fees down) please let me know via email (link on the executive webpage) and I will pass your name on. Many hands make light work!
Please come out to support our park – have a burger and enjoy some Great Ball games! Hope to see you all there!
