Blue Jays Honda Super Camps
We would like to make you and your minor baseball association aware of the excellent opportunities coming to Vancouver Island. This year the Blue Jays Baseball Academy will be hosting two Honda Super Camps on the island.
Victoria, BC – July 2-3, 9am-1pm each day – Royal Athletic Park
Nanaimo, BC – July 4-5, 9am-1pm each day – Serauxman Fields
These baseball instructional camps offer players ages 9-16 the ultimate Major League experience. Learn skills and techniques from former Major League All-Stars. This year our alumni appearing in Victoria and Nanaimo will be Roberto Alomar, Sandy Alomar Sr., Jesse Barfield, Brian McRae, Lloyd Moseby, Duane Ward & Devon White . The cost is $190 (plus taxes), and each Honda Super Camp participant will receive a Blue Jays hat, t-shirt, baseball manual, autographs. As well, there are opportunities for coaches in your baseball association to get involved as guest instructors at our Honda Super Camps and learn from our alumni. Baseball Canada and the Toronto Blue Jays are partnering to offer NCCP certified baseball coaches the opportunity to receive Professional Development (PD) credit towards your certification maintenance. Guest Coaches will actively participant on field and appropriate attire is required. There is no cost to participate as a Guest Coach and all participants will receive a Blue Jays Academy T-shirt and hat. Learning the Game (ages 4 thru 6)
Sunday morning – 8:30 am registration – 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
Playing the Game (ages 7 thru 12)
Sunday afternoon – 12:30 pm registration – 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
These coaching clinics are recommended for all managers, coaches & parents. They are provided complimentary to leagues courtesy of Little League Baseball Canada, the Little League Foundation of Canada and your local District Association. Your only expectation is to bring your enthusiasm, a ball glove, athletic wear & runners or turf shoes, & a non-perishable food item that will be given to the local food bank courtesy of Little League & Teaching for Tomorrow!
