Fall baseball is back in Victoria for ages 8 thur 12. Both Layritz and LakeHill are running programs.

July 9th – Central Saanich won their first game last night taking an early lead in the first inning 1-0 over LakeHill.  LakeHill pulls ahead in the third inning scoring 3 runs – leading the scoreboard 3-1.

At the top of their batting order Central Saanich scores 4 in the 5th inning to take the lead 6-5.  With an exciting Top of the 6th inning Out of the Park Home Run by Trey Sjerven driving in 2 RBI’s for a final score 9-5 over LakeHill.

Summer Baseball fun returns to Victoria!

What is SummerBall? • A non-competitive co-ed baseball league @ Hampton Park. • Two divisions: ages 8 to 10 and ages 11 to 13 before May 1st. • Open to all players from BC Minor Baseball, Little League, and novices. • Every team will include players from different areas of Victoria. • No practises or scorekeeping for parents. • There are no standings or trophies. • Games are scheduled Mon-Thur so no interference with weekend family travelling. • Player substitution between teams will be encouraged: so don’t feel bad if your player might miss a few games because of camping etc. Enroll him or her anyways!

Goals? • To provide a safe environment for kids where they can enjoy a fun baseball experience with no pressure. • To build friendships between players from ballparks across Victoria. When? • League will run approximately from July 22 to August 29. (12 games). Cost? • $50 for registration (includes a ball shirt to keep).

Great opportunity for parents with no experience to get involved along with your player in the great game of baseball.

CSLL tournament teams would like to invite all fans of baseball out to the 9/10 and 11/12 District tournaments starting Jun 28th for Minors and July 8th for Majors. The players appreciate having big crowds in the stands. These players are representing CSLL and it would be awesome to see some of our CSLL families out there cheering them on! The season is almost wrapped up for most with less than two weeks until closing ceremonies. We will come together as a community on Saturday June 15th. There will be fun games for Blastball thru to Rookie Minors. The Minors and Majors CSLL teams will have their final playoff games to see who will represent our park at the City Championships to be held at Lake Hill June 19th -24th.

Photo retakes with Gordon Lee have been scheduled for Wednesday, June 5th @ 6:00PM beside the batting cage. There is no need to book. Just show up in uniform.

Managers – If you have not picked up your ream photos yet they are upstairs in the clubhouse.

Every year at this time we look forward to establishing our two tournament teams to represent Central Saanich Little League(CSLL).

We will be holding clinics for the 9/10 team on Monday, June 3, 2013 between 6:00 – 7:15  PM at Centennial Park, Diamond 5 and for the 11/12 team the also Monday June 3^rd  between 7:15 and 8:30 PM at Centennial Park, Diamond 5.

Please be there ready to start the clinic rain or shine at the above times with all your necessary equipment and report to the Clubhouse  15 minutes PRIOR TO CLINIC START TIME.

You MUST attend the clinic in order to be considered for the Tournament Team.  To further qualify for either of these teams you need to be of that age on April 30 and played in 60% of scheduled games from opening day to Jun 15 2013 at CSLL .

The teams will be announced on June 15 2013 and will require 100 % commitment by each and every player and parent.

Additional requirements include:

• Proof of Central Saanich residency which will include at least three documents showing the players address (utility bills), as well as an original birth certificate.
• Uniform deposit for $50.00 postdated to Aug 31 2013
• Medical release form completed for every player and signed by a parent / guardian  
• And finally each player chosen for the team will receive a tournament team hat, bag and jacket at a cost of $80.00 which is 50 % of cost and the league will pay the balance
