Coaches
We need you! Come get the best training on the island! We want to provide our coaches with the tools they need to have a fun and successful season. We have partnered with Brad Weinmeyer (a previous US college player and premier baseball coach) plus the Victoria Mariners Premier League baseball association to provide up to 7.5 hours of FREE pre-season training for you. We want coaches to get hands-on training to learn how to develop your team’s core skills in a fun and positive atmosphere. This will give you the tools to make practices and games more exciting no matter what the age!
Players
We need your help to participate in the drills! Our coaches can learn best by hands-on experience. The drills will be fast paced, exciting and fun! You will be run through stations designed by coaches who understand and have played the game at a higher level. Limited spaces are available for each age group so please register early!
Parents
Our Little League believes kids learn better when they are having fun. We want to make sure everyone learns the core skills to this great game of baseball. By partnering with Batter’s Box and the Victoria Mariners we are all dedicating ourselves to teaching our coaches & players. But we don’t end training in the pre-season. We plan to hold in-season player jamborees, pitching clinics plus coach and parent clinics so everyone can work together to make baseball more enjoyable. This way everyone wins!
SIGN UP EARLY! SPACES ARE LIMITED! COACHES AND PLAYERS NEED TO PRE-REGISTER.
Please email us at president@cslittleleague.com . Clinics will be held at the Panorama Rec Centre Indoor Tennis Courts.

Once again your Little League is growing. We will be offering baseball programs for 13-16 yr olds in the 2018 season. These teams will base out of Central Saanich and play both on and off the island. Teams from the Vancouver area are eager to play us. We are also intending to host a tournament this year.
Practices should be twice a week with 1-2 games per week. We are solidifying our coaching now. Come play some great baseball and feel the difference at Little League. Our teams play for fun with equal playing time for everyone. We make a tournament team to compete at the provincials in the summer with a chance to go to Canadians and the World Series!!

ATTENTION!!! NEW bat size a REQUIREMENT for 2018!!
Unfortunately but fortunately the Little League International has implemented new standards for baseball bats used under their program. Unfortunately we cannot use old bats. Fortunately however, the changes were made to lower the bat performance factor. This is done to protect the integrity of the game and to provide a safer game. More information can be found at http://www.littleleague.org/learn/equipment/baseballbatinfo.htm
Again, this means all bats used in previous seasons will NOT be legal to use in Little League at CSLL.
NOTE – Only previous Junior (2018 Senior) players may be able to use their BBCOR bats from 2017.
Forutnately the league is purchasing NEW bats for the 2018 season! If you are considering purchasing a new bat please be aware of the new standards. Kirby’s Source for Sports is offering our CSLL members a 10% discount on all regularly priced baseball items. They have a list of our members. All you do is please advise the cashier at time of purchase.
Our Little League baseball program in Victoria is run 100% by volunteers. One of our volunteers has been giving back to this sport for over 25 years. Many of those years are after his kids were done playing. He does so because he sees the benefits of building stronger kids and a stronger community. He never asks for anything in return and he’s always there for our kids.
Our Umpire in Chief Kevin Reilly has been asked to go to the Senior Softball World Series in Delaware, Washington for 2018. That is a great honour but it comes with costs.
Little League International pays for his accommodations while in Delaware but the travel costs and his time off work are bore by him alone. Our Little League in Central Saanich is asking for donations to help offset the travel costs for Kevin. Flights and a car rental come to over $2000 CAD.
Please help us provide Kevin and his family the same community support that he gives to all of us. We have over 300 players but it starts with you! No donation is too small.
Together we will once again show how we are leaders in supporting those who give freely of themselves to help build stronger kids and communities.
