There are TWO types of volunteering that every parent must do:
League volunteer – During online registration you will be asked to volunteer for the league. You can select to pay, work a shift, or choose an exemption (coach, coordinator, board, parent of a player in Blastball, Junior or Senior). Players in the Tball thru Majors divisions MUST volunteer one 3 hour shift OR pay an exemption fee of $100 so we can hire others to do the work. You can sign up for a shift by clicking on the “Volunteer Do Good Feel Good” icon on the web page. If you do not fulfill your shift we will cash your deposit made at registration time.
Team volunteer – Every parent MUST help the team to operate at practices and games. Fields need to be raked before and after your time. Bases need to be setup. Foul lines and the batters box need to be painted for games. Scorekeeping is mandatory in Minors and up. Coaches should be excluded from this role as they are getting the teams ready.
EXEMPTIONS – All board members and coaches have full family exemptions as they put in many hours of their time preparing and executing duties to make our league run. Team coordinators are provided one child exemption for fulfilling their role.
NOTE – If you select an exemption and do not pay your deposit AND you do not fulfill your role you will not be able to register the following year until the exemption is paid for the prior year and your are up-to-date on your new registration.
