Parent/Coach/Manager Meeting

We at CSLL want to create an environment where both players, parents and coaches all have the opportunity to have fun and learn about baseball. We have initiated a support program for all of our managers/coaches and parents to accomplish 3 main goals. Those goals include:
 
– create a fast paced and fun teaching environment so everyone is engaged and wants to come again!
– advise everyone of the few basic skills we want to develop in each division
– provide the equipment/teaching materials and support to enable everyone to feel confident in teaching
 
This meeting is not mandatory but it comes HIGHLY recommended by the board. Whether one is new to coaching or a seasoned veteran everyone can open their minds to learn what we as a community want to teach our kids. Thanks for being a part of our amazing organization!
 
Please register by contacting president@cslittleleague.com Blastball and Tball start at 630pm. Wednesday March 23rd. Mini’s and Rookie’s start at 730pm in the clubhouse.

Baseball season coming soon!

It’s almost time to kick off our spring season!!

Our registration numbers look great and we are adding more each week. Our assessments for Rookies, Minors and Majors will be completed this weekend. We will be building teams before spring break. Once our teams are built we will be notifying the Manager for each team with a list to contact you. Some dates to remember include:

Mar 30 – Uniform pickup – you will be emailed with times

Mar 31 – Scorekeeping Clinic for parents of Rookies, Minors, Majors and Intermediate

                7-8pm at the clubhouse

Apr 4 – First day of baseball practices

Apr 9 – Opening Ceremonies

Apr 16 – Deadline to apply for Prospects ball. More info to come.

Assessment Dates – Rookies, Minors & Majors

Assessment dates are set if your player is registered in Rookies, Minors or Majors.

Feb 27th and 28th

Centennial Park Diamond 5

Rookies – Sunday 11am-1pm

Minors – Saturday 1030am-130pm

Majors – Sunday 1pm-230pm

Please register upstairs in the clubhouse 20-30 minutes early to get your assessment jersey and have a little time to warm up. If you cannot make the selected time please contact playeragent@cslittleleague.com to arrange assessment.

 

2016 Registration

Update – our last venue for registration is Feb 4th 630-830pm. Wait lists will be created after this. Please register now!!

 

Jan 23, 24, 30 and 31 from 1-4pm plus two night times Jan 21 and Feb 4 from 630-830pm.

Forms will be available at the clubhouse or you can save time by fill out the registration form and parent sport code of conduct before (click on the Registration tab above). Please bring your cheque book. If registering a first time player you will also need the following :

  • players birth certificate – so we can verify age
  • utility bill showing address – so we can verify catchment area

Coaches

We need you! Come get the best training on the island! We want to provide our coaches with the tools they need to have a fun and successful season. We have partnered with the Victoria Mariners Premier League baseball association to provide up to 10 hours of FREE pre-season training for you. We want coaches to get hands-on training to learn how to develop your team’s core skills in a fun and positive atmosphere. This will give you the tools to make practices and games more exciting no matter what the age!

Players

We need your help to participate in the drills! Our coaches can learn best by hands-on experience. The drills will be fast paced, exciting and fun! You will be run through stations designed by the Premier League coaching staff. Limited spaces are available for each age group so please register early!

Parents

We have evolved! Our Little League has recognized that it’s ok to ask for outside help in developing our league. We want to make sure everyone learns the core skills to this great game of baseball. By partnering with the Victoria Mariners Premier League association we are all dedicating ourselves to teaching our coaches who will then be better prepared to teach our children how to play baseball.

But we don’t end training in the pre-season. We plan to hold in-season jamborees so they can work together with the Mariners players to reinforce what they’ve learned from the winter clinics. This way everyone wins!
